Prestashop Marketplace Buyer Seller Chat:
This module comes with an amazing functionality by which the seller and buyer can have a direct communication anytime The buyer and the marketplace seller can chat with each other conveniently. The chat option is available on the product detail page, under the seller detail column.
Till now there was no point of contact for the seller and the buyer by which many of the buyer doubts or queries remain unanswered. So, this module works as a medium by which seller and buyer can connect through chat.
Features of the module:
– Buyer can initiate the chat with any seller, anytime from the product detail page.
– Seller can respond to many buyers simultaneously.
– If the seller is offline when buyer send the message then all the messages can be seen when next time seller is online.
– The chat option available on product detail page shows if the seller is online or not. If that shows a green sign, then seller is online.
– Seller can respond to the chat messages even when the buyer is offline.
– An easy side menu is available to see the chat list.
– The offline messages are not lost, they can be retrieved later again on login.
– Now the buyer and seller can have the direct communication.
– Multiple chat can be done at a single time.
Installation:
For installing Prestashop Marketplace Buyer Seller Chat module you need to install Prestashop Advance Marketplace module first. After installing marketplace module you can start the installation of Prestashop Marketplace Buyer Seller Chat module.
Go to back office ->module , upload the module zip file , then search “Prestashop Marketplace Buyer Seller Chat” in module search box then go to module and click on install.
To understand workflow of the module, please follow:
Once the module is installed successfully, a new “Online Chat” option gets added to the product detail page of every product.
Initially no chat list is available on the page, as the buyer is starting the communication for the first time. Buyer needs to login to view the chat list option on the left side of page.
Similarly, when the seller has no chat from any of the buyers, then the chat list button is not available. It will appear only when we have atleast one chat initiated.
To initiate the chat, buyer does not needs to login. The buyer can even initiate the chat without being logged in.
As soon as the buyer login and initiate the chat, the chat list option gets added to the page. Please refer the screenshots for the same:
Since, the seller is online so the messages are received by the seller. Buyer can even send the messages, when the seller is offline. Seller can easily get those messages later from the chat list.
The chat list enables the seller and the buyer to keep a track of all the conversations being done on both ends. This will also help both buyer and seller to retrieve all the old messages.
A direct one-to-one communication can be done between the buyer and the seller through the marketplace buyer seller chat module.
