Prestashop Advanced Marketplace Module:
Installation of the module:
Advanced Marketplace Module supports standard way of Prestashop Installation. Simply go to back office ->module, upload the module zip file then search “Advanced marketplace” in the search box then go to the module and click on install.
You are done, Marketplace Module is installed and ready to use.
The Module add these unique features to the merchant/admin store:
* The Admin store becomes a full – fledged marketplace.
* The Admin has access rights for each and every activity being performed on the Frontend through the Backend.
* To publish anything on the Frontend, Admin approval is required.
* The Seller can interact only from the Frontend, backend access is not provided to the Seller.
* Seller can showcase the shop anywhere with the help of the url generated, once the Admin approves the shop request.
* Since, its a marketplace the customer has the opportunity to choose from the variety of available options.
* With the help of the add-ons available for this module, you can always enhance the functionality of the marketplace module.
To understand the working of the module, please follow:
To make a New Seller Request :
After the module installation is done, now all your customer will see a new menu “Click here for Seller Request” in the Marketplace account menu.
A Request form appears when the user clicks on the Seller Request. The user has to fill the details about the shop.
As the user Submits the shop details, the request is sent to the Admin for approval. The Admin can “Approve” or “Disapprove” the seller request by logging in the backend, under the Marketplace Management -> Manage Seller Profile.
As soon as the Admin approves the Seller Request, the Seller would get complete access to the marketplace menu and can start uploading the products. The Marketplace menu is shown here:
Adding New Products:
The seller can upload as many products as required. Simply use the menu option “Add Product”, from here you can upload and add new products.
Once the products are added, the request is sent to the Admin for the approval. The Admin can either accept or decline the request from the back office, Marketplace Management -> Manage Seller Product. The products added by the Seller are displayed only when the Admin approves the request.
Now Seller shop is ready and seller will get a unique SEO- friendly url for the shop , so that seller can showcase the page anywhere he want .
As the seller shop is ready to be displayed, now the customer can order the products.
Check how the Seller needs to process the order.
The Seller can always find the list of orders placed on the My Order page in the account menu.
Order Processing:
Once the Seller clicks on “My Order” menu, then the list of all the orders will appear.
To process the order and manage the shipping. Simply click on the order and from the Order Detail page, the seller can change the shipping status from No to Yes and can enter the shipment details.
Once the product is shipped and delivered, the Seller needs to update the Shipping status accordingly and provides the delivery details here.
From here you can view the shipping and the delivery details.
Understanding the Frontend Menu of Marketplace Account:
1) Account Dashboard: This will list all the recent orders alongwith the Order graph. The Seller can easily adjust the dates and can view the graph accordingly.
2) Edit Profile: With this menu, the seller can easily edit and update the shop details.
3) Seller Profile: Under this menu, the Seller can view the Profile. All recent products added by the seller and the recent reviews will be listed on the Seller Profile page.
4) Shop: The seller can view the shop and all the recently added products.
5) Collection: The page will display all the products uploaded by the Seller and all the categories that are created by the seller.
6) Add Product: The Seller can easily add the products by filling in the details but the products will be displayed on the Frontend, only when the Admin accepts the request.
7) Product List: The menu displays the list of products added by the seller alongwith the description, quantity, price, status and image. The seller can easily edit and delete products from here.
8) My Order: This will list all the orders made by the customers for the seller products. The feedback from the customers can also be viewed.
9) Payment Details: From here the Seller can select the method of payment from the available mode of payments. The available payment modes are added by the Admin from the Backend.
Understanding the Backend Menu for Marketplace Management:
After the installation of the Advanced Marketplace Module, Marketplace Managment tab will appear on the backend.
1) Manage Seller Profile: This will display the Seller list with all the details and from here the Admin can easily manage the seller request by either accepting or rejecting the seller request. The Admin can also add new sellers here with the help of “Add New” button.
2) Manage Seller Product: All the products added by different sellers are listed here with the seller name, product name, shop name and the status. The Admin can easily approve, edit or delete the products.
3) Manage Commission Setting: The Admin can select the commission percentage to be applied globally and can also add the commission for the particular customer.
4) Manage Seller Commission: A list of all the customer/seller with the applicable commission percentage is shown here. From here the Admin can add new commission for a customer and can also edit the commission for a particular customer.
5) Manage Seller Orders: Order list by the different sellers is provided with seller name, shop, product name, price, commision etc. From here the Admin can click on any order and can view the details of that order.
The order details page will have the following sections:
a) Order: This will display the order reference number and the status of the order (shipped, delivered etc). The admin can change the status of the order accordingly.
b) Customer: A customer section is also available on the order detail page alongwith the address, valid orders placed by the customer and the total amount spent by the customer since registration.
c) Shipping and Merchandise Returns: Under this section the shipping details like date, type, carrier, weight and the shipping cost are all listed. The Admin can edit the tracking details from here.
d) Shipping Address and the Invoice Address: The Admin can easily edit the shipping and the invoice address of the customer with the help of this menu.
e) Payment: Under this section all the payments made by the customer are listed. The Admin can update the processed payment accordingly.
f) Messages: This option is beneficial when the Admin wants to send any message to the customer about the order. The customer will receive the message on the registered email address. Suppose there is a delay in the order, then from here the Admin can easily send a message to the customer. The Admin can also choose or set a standard message to be sent.
g) Products: The list of all the ordered products is here, alongwith the details of the products.
6) Manage Payment Mode: The Admin can easily view the list of payment methods and can also add new payment methods that would be available for the sellers use.
7) Manage Seller Reviews: Here the Admin can view all the reviews that are posted by the customers.
Payment Process :
In our module all payment first goes into Admin account at the time of sale. After certain period , Admin can send money to seller manually . Our module will do all the calculation of commission, but Admin will send money manually . We have provided the menu for storing seller Bank/Paypal details .
Seller Shipping Method :
In our module seller can’t fix the shipping rate for the product. The rates are decided by the Admin. Seller needs to manually change the status from the frontend of each and every order accordingly, so that the delivery details can be sent to the customer or can be used for any future discrepancy (if occurs) in delivery. But the seller cannot change the carrier and the shipping rates.
