Prestashop Product Comparison

Prestashop Product Comparison: Prestashop product comparison is an addon which integrates the functionality of comparing products on various grounds. Striking differences & similarity between compared products can be highlighted or removed in order to avoid discrepancy between features of products.

FEATURES

Limit/Restrict the number of products to be compared at a time.
Customize compare badge background & text colour, text size etc.
Customize compare table background, border & highlight colour.
Choose to enable/disable shadow of the comparison table.
Products added in comparison table can be removed & table will update accordingly.
Customize “Title & Description” of popup message when there are no products to compare.
Choose to share the comparison through various social platforms i.e Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc.
Compare badge can be placed at four positions on any page namely top right, top left, bottom right & bottom left.

INSTALLATION

Go to back office ->module.
Upload the module zip file.
Search “Prestashop Product Comparison” in module search box then go to module and click on install.

The module will be successfully installed.

CONFIGURATION

After successful installation of module, Admin can configure the module.

The look of the table, text, background colour can all be customized from “design” section available under configuration settings.

In this way, module can be configured successfully.

WORKFLOW

After configuring the module successfully, following options will be added as shortcuts to compare products.

‘Add to compare’ & ‘Go to compare’ shortcuts are also provided in quick view pop-up. A view of “quick view pop-up” is shown in the screenshot below.

‘Add to compare’ & ‘Go to compare’ shortcuts are also provided on product page. A view of “Product Page” is shown in the screenshot below.

After clicking on compare badge, a popup will open containing comparison table of added products. The table has been shown in the screenshot below.

Upon clicking “Go to Compare”, the page shown in screenshot below will open.

The options available in the table are as follows

Highlight differences

This option highlights the differences between the compared products.

Highlight Similar

This option highlights the similarities between the compared products.

Remove differences

This option removes the differences between the compared products.

Remove Similar

This option removes the similarities between the compared products.

When there are no products to compare a popup will open upon clicking the compare badge button as shown in the screenshot below. The message flashing in popup can be customized from the configuration settings page from admin end.

This is how the module will add an additional functionality of comparing products at the shop.
