WooCommerce Marketplace Advanced Commission gives the ability to admin to set commission for products, categories, and seller categories. Admin can also use various commission rules to charge commission from the seller. In case if any product lies under various categories on which admin has set the commission, then the highest commission will be applicable on the product.
WooCommerce Marketplace Advanced Commission is an add-on of WooCommerce Multi Vendor Marketplace Plugin. To use this plugin you must have installed first WooCommerce Multi Vendor Marketplace Plugin.
Features of Marketplace Advanced Commission
Admin can set commission on products.
This plugin allows admin to set commission on the product level. If admin set commission to a product then it gets higher priority while calculating commission.
Admin can set commission on categories.
If admin wants to set commission on categories to charge commission from seller on the basis on categories then, it can be done with the help of this plugin
Admin can set commission on specific seller categories.
Now admin can even set commission on specific seller also. This is a very effective feature, now admin can provide different commission for different seller categories.
Admin can set commission on products and categories together.
Sometimes it is required that a product lies in a category but admin wants to charge a different commission on that specific product instead of the whole category. So this plugin gives this functionality to admin to set a commission on the specific product.
Commission on the product will get higher priority.
If admin set commission on category and on product also then, the product commission get higher priority while calculating commission
Admin can add/edit different commission rules.
This plugin allows admin to add various commission rules to charge the commission to the seller.
When admin use commission rules then, the commission will be decided on the basis of commission rules only.
If admin set commission rules then, the commission will be calculated on the basis of commission rules only.
Admin can set commission type as fixed or percentage for categories.
Admin can decide that the commission will be charged to the seller as fixed or percentage.
Installation of Marketplace Advanced Commission
The user will get a zip file which he has to upload in the Add New menu option in the WordPress admin panel. For this login to WordPress Admin Panel and Under the Dashboard hover your mouse over the “Plugins” menu option which brings out a Sub-Menu and then select the “Add New” option.
After this, you will see an option on the top of your page that is “Upload Plugin”, click the option to upload the zip file.
After clicking on the “Upload Plugin” option, below that you will see a button “Choose File” click on the button to browse for the zip file as per the snapshot below.
After browsing the file, click the “Install Now” button to install the plugin as per the snapshot.
Now when the plugin is installed correctly, you will see the success message and an option to activate the plugin. Click on “Activate Plugin” to activate the installed plugin.

Configuration of Marketplace Advanced Commission
Once you are over with installation of the WooCommerce Marketplace Advanced Commission Plugin, Admin can configure this plugin under “Advanced Commission > Configuration”.
Enable/Disable
With the help of this option, admin will be able to switch the module into enable or disable mode.
Use Commission Rules
If admin wants to set commission rules to charge commission from seller then admin can select “YES” from the drop-down menu.
Commission Type
From here admin can set commission type from dropdown menu as “Fixed” or “Percentage”. The commission will be calculated based on this selection.
Per Category Commission
Here admin can set per category commission. All the available categories will be list down and then admin can enter commission in front of them. For different category, admin can set different commission. Each commission will only act on the product that belongs to its category. Kindly refer to the screenshot below.
Admin can also set per category commission to a specific seller. This can be done under “Advanced Commission > Manage Seller”. Here he just needs to click on “Category Commission” and he will be redirected to fill the per category commission for a specific seller.
On this page, admin can enter category commission for a specific seller as per below screenshot.
Admin will be able to set the commission for each category under “Products > Categories” while adding a new category or by editing an existing category. If any product lies under various categories on which admin has set the commission, then the highest commission will be applicable on the product.
Admin can set the commission on each product under “Products > Products” while adding a new product or by editing an existing product. If the commission on a product is not set then commission on the seller category will get priority if both are not set then default category commission will be used.
If admin wants to use commission rules instead of category and product based commission then it can be configured under “Advanced Commission > Configuration”. Here admin selects Use Commission Rule as “Yes”, then the commission will apply according to commission rule only.
Admin can add/edit or Delete commission rules under “Advanced Commission > Commission Rules”.
By Clicking on “Add Rule”, admin can able to add different commission rules as per his requirement. While adding a new commission rule, admin will be able to define a range of price and even can choose the type of commission as “Fixed” or “Percentage”.
Admin can view the orders and complete information regarding commission by clicking seller name on Manage Seller page under “Advanced Commission > Manage Seller”.
Here admin can see orders of the particular seller and details regarding commission. Matrix will appear as below:
