Hello!
I would like to discuss about a WooCommerce plugin that gives you the ability add a custom label on your product. It should be noted that this applies to both virtual and physical products. This label has various purposes, from indicating an ongoing sale, informing the customer about current stock details, and other options or opportunities you wish to communicate to the customer base, in a concise and aesthetic manner, as a WooCommerce administrator.
Features:
- Create and upload unique and interactive promotional product labels.
- Increase sales with eye-catching labels that catches the customer’s attention and enhances profitability/interactivity.
- Related products with given labels will also be displayed, with their label on a single-product page.
- Control the placement of the label: Center, Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right.
Installation:
Download the zip folder, extract the wp-woocommerce-product-label folder and place the folder inside your wordpress/wp-content/plugins directory.
Then inside your wordpress admin dashboard, click on Installed Plugins, find the WooCommerce Custom Product Labels plugin and click Activate.*
*You need to have the WooCommerce plugin already installed and activated prior to the installation of the WooCommerce Custom Product Label.
Getting Started:
After a successful installation, you will have the following inside your admin dashboard side-panel:
The WooCommerce Custom Product Label has two main pages; Product Label List and Configuration.
The Product Label list is where you can see existing Product Labels, and where you can also add new Product Labels, by clicking the Add New button on the top-left.
An example of an existing Product Label being displayed is displayed below. I have given a dummy title of ‘Sunny’ and a dummy image of the Instagram logo. It is this image that will be displayed on the Product page. Keep in mind when uploading/creating your awesome label, is that the dimensions must be 60 by 60 pixels.
You can also edit the configurations of an existing Product Label by hovering over the ID number of the associated Product Label, then the option to Edit (or Delete) shall by visible and clickable.
Now obviously after installing this plugin, you are going to want to create your WooCommerce Product Label for display on the front-end. To do this, click the Add New button on the top-left, and then you will be presented with this page:
You are mandated to enter the Title and upload the label that will be displayed on the product. The Label Status is to enable by default and the Label Position is set to Top-Left by default; feel free to change according to your linking. At the bottom, enter the name of the Product(s) and click on them to include the label on their respective product page.
Once you have selected created your WooCommerce Label Product, added the required details and uploaded the label of your choice and finally included the Products for which the label will be applied upon. You can view the product page to ponder upon your changes. An example is shown below:
As shown above, the three products have been selected in the WooCommerce Product Label titled ‘Sunny’, which has the dummy Instagram logo. The product page is for the ‘Example Product’ (the red headphones), and the other products which are depicted below also have their associated WooCommerce Product Label.
I hope this has been an insightful read about the WooCommerce Product Label. As the old saying goes ‘Big things come in small packages’; this small label will surely be an enhancement to your WooCommerce product page.
Good luck, until next time!
