Prestashop Login by Username is an addon to integrate the functionality of providing login with the help of username & password at the store. customer’s can choose to create username of their choice or they can even select one from the suggestions shown to them on the basis of their first name, last name & date of birth.
Features
- Customer can register/login through the username.
- Admin can enable/disable the requirement of username for registration of customer.

Installation
- Go to back office ->module.
- Upload the module zip file.
- Search “Prestashop Login by Username” in module search box then go to module and click on install.
In this way, the module will be successfully installed.
Configuration
After successful installation of module, Admin can configure the module.
In this way, module can be configured successfully.
Login by Username-Workflow
Customer-End
Customer also needs to enter username or select out of the suggested options at customer registration page if the field is made mandatory from configuration settings.
Note:- The suggested usernames are generally the combination of ‘first name’, ‘last name’, ‘date of birth’ & allowed special characters( i.e. @._).
If any username was created by customer/admin & it was deleted afterwards then also the username will be available if it hasn’t been used by anyone else till then.
At ‘Login Page’, Customer can now easily sign in to his/her account with the help of username & password only.
Guest-Checkout
If anyone proceeds with the order as a guest, then he/she will not need to enter ‘username’. In case, if anyone wishes to create an account while ordering as a guest then they can choose to create username for their account.
Admin-End
While creating any customer from backend, admin will also get an option of entering a username for any customer. Suggestions for the username will be available at admin’s end too if it has been enabled from configuration settings.
Username of customer will be available on customer’s list.
Upon clicking on any customer block, admin can also view username of the customer on customer details page.
