Odoo ACS Courier Integration

ACS Courier delivery service is one of the biggest shipping services in Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus and, Albania. They handle both national and international delivery services. Having ACS Courier Service at your disposal can be a great addition to your logistic arsenal.

Odoo  ACS Courier Shipping module integrates ACS Courier with Odoo with seamless configuration. Once configured, it allows the Odoo website customers to get their Odoo website delivered through ACS Courier.

The delivery price is automatically calculated and added to the order after selecting ACS Courier as the package carrier. The Odoo admin can also use ACS Courier delivery services while manually placing orders in the Odoo.

Once the delivery of the order is validated, the admin can generate the ACS Courier shipping label for the order in the Odoo backend. The Odoo user can also print daily delivery receipts to track the shipment movements and monitor the ACS shipment in Odoo.

• The module integrates ACS Courier service with Odoo.
• The customers can select ACS Courier as the delivery method for their purchases from the Odoo website.
• The Odoo user can also use the ACS Courier shipping method while placing orders at Odoo end.
• It facilitates Real-time Shipping Rate Calculation on both website and Odoo’s end.
• The delivery prices are automatically added to the order once ACS Courier is added to the order line.
• The Odoo user can also generate the shipping label in the Odoo backend.
• The module also allows the Odoo user to generate Daily delivery receipts about ACS shipments movements in Odoo
• The admin can also choose to add any extra service charges to the shipping price as per the requirements.
• The Odoo user can Define/Update New Services.
• The admin can select the type of packaging for the ACS Courier delivery.

1.) Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.

2.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘acs_shipping_integration’.

3.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.

4.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.

5.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.

6.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘acs_shipping_integration’.

7.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

Please keep the following points in mind to prevent getting an error message while placing a delivery with ACS Courier Shipping Carrier:

1.) Valid Credentials

Please use the correct ACS Courier credentials to configure the module to successfully generate the shipment in the Odoo backend and on the website.

2.) Correct destination and sender address

The addresses entered in the order for both user/receiver and warehouse/sender should be valid entries to process the shipping successfully. The addresses and range from the source to the destination would depend upon the type of service availed from ACS Courier by the Odoo admin.

3.) A non-zero weight of the package

The product added to ACS Courier shipping should not have zero as the listed weight in the Odoo otherwise the shipment generation request returns an error from ACS Courier. To avoid this, the admin can also set a default weight to be automatically sent to the ACS Courier in case the product in case the listed weight is zero.

4.) You need to put the product in a pack to generate a shipping label.

Configuring ACS Courier Service in Odoo

1.) Click on Settings >> General Settings. Under Shipping Integrations, click on Configuration next to ACS Courier Settings.

2.) Now, enter the credentials. Click Save.

3.) Now, in Odoo navigate through Inventory >> Delivery >> Delivery Methods. Click on ACS Delivery.

4.) On the configuration form, choose the provider as ‘ACS’ and integration level as ‘Get Rate and Create Shipment’.

5.) You can restrict the ACS Courier delivery to chosen states or zip codes using the menu- Destination availability.

6.) Next, click on Extra to set the default values of different constraints. The chosen values would be automatically picked by the order to send to ACS Courier in case one or more of fields are not set while placing the order.

For example: Let say you set the default weight field as 1 unit. Now, If the weight field for a product is empty and you add this product to the order, then 1 unit would be used as a default for the product to calculate the delivery prices. Click Save.

Note: Please click on the test environment while testing the module. Only ‘Switch to production’ when you are ready to go Live.

7.) Also, you need to publish the delivery method on the website to make it available.

On the website

8.) Add any product to the cart and proceed to checkout.

9.) On the Payment Page, select ACS Delivery as the delivery method. Once selected the price shipping price is automatically calculated and added to the total cart value.

10.) Click on Pay Now to place the order.

In the Odoo Backend

11.) Now, in the Odoo backend, confirm the order and generate the delivery. Click on the delivery tab to open the stock operation.

12.) Here, enter the required quantity under the field ‘Done’ to validate delivery.

13.) Then click on ‘Put In pack’.  On the popup that appears, select the type of DHL packaging you wish to use for the product. Then, Enter the details of the package and save. (Shipping weight cannot be zero).

14.) Once you validate the delivery, the shipping label is automatically generated by ACS Courier.

15.) You can also cancel the delivery by hitting cancel under extra info.

16.) Similarly, while placing an order manually in Odoo, select the delivery method as ACS and click on ‘Check Price’ to get the delivery price of the product. Then, click on ‘Add To Order’ to add the delivery price to the order lines.

17.) Once done, confirm the order to generate delivery and follow steps from 12 to 14 to generate the shipping label.

Generating ACS Receipts

18.) To generate daily delivery receipts for tracking shipment movements, go to Inventory >> Inventory and click on ACS Receipts List.

19.) On the popup, select the date for which you wish to generate the list and click on retrieve ACS receipts list to generate the list.
