With Multivendor Marketplace App, You can convert your store into a fully-fledged marketplace where multiple sellers get registered and sell their products all over the globe.

You might have heard about Etsy, a well-known online global marketplace focused in selling specialized handmade goods and vintage items. So, if Your registered sellers have their stores on Etsy too and they want their Etsy store’s products to be sold on admin’s marketplace then this can be accomplished using Etsy Connector APP.

To connect the Etsy store with admin’s marketplace, Seller needs to “Create An App” on his/her Etsy Store and get the API & Secret Key to establish the connection.

Admin can enable this feature app by approving the additional charge of $25 USD/month and allow sellers to import their Etsy store’s products to admin’s marketplace and accordingly manage the inventory at both the ends.

Let’s Explore the Features in detail.

Additional Features

  • Admin can allow the marketplace sellers to connect their Etsy stores with admin’s Shopify store.
  • Seller will create an app on his/her Etsy store and get the API & Secret key as Etsy store details.
  • Products created on Etsy can be imported using product’s listing ID(s) with “approval pending state”.
  • Seller can import products in bulk using CSV file having multiple product’s listing IDs.
  • Admin can approve or deny the products imported by the Etsy sellers.
  • If any order is placed on admin’s store, the same will be updated on Etsy too.
  • If any order is placed on Etsy, seller will have the option to import orders either by “Order status” or by “Receipt IDs”.
  • Orders can be imported in bulk using CSV file of order’s receipt IDs.

Limitations

  • Only Physical products will be imported from Etsy to Shopify.
  • Variations should be less than OR equal to 100.
  • Option name should be less than OR equal to 3.
  • Imported Products will not be updated automatically at Shopify end.
  • Order placed on Etsy needs to be imported manually to Shopify.
  • 100 Orders will be imported by selecting “Order status” and rest of the orders will be imported by “receipt IDs”.

Installation

In order to get this feature app, admin needs to visit the “Feature Apps” section of the Multivendor app and go through below mentioned steps:

In Feature Apps section, Search for “Shopify-Etsy Conenctor“.

Click on “Install” button to get this feature app.

Tap the “Agree” button and Proceed to approve the charge.

Click on the “Approve Charge” button.

Once done, You will get the Etsy Connector feature app installed on your Marketplace.

That’s all about the Configuration done from admin end. Now, moving on to the Seller end and let’s see how the Sellers manage the configuration to connect their Etsy store with admin’s marketplace.

Seller End

ETSY CONFIGURATION

As soon as the admin installs the Shopify-Etsy Connector feature app in Multivendor App, a new sub-menu gets added in the Configuration menu of the Seller Panel.

Clicking on the “Etsy Configuration“, Seller will be asked to enter his/her Etsy store’s details such as Etsy Shop Name, API key and Secret key.

NOTE:- Seller on Etsy can get his/her Etsy store name from “Accounts” section of his/her Etsy Store.
Login as Etsy Seller>>You (at upper right corner)>>View Profile>>Get the Store Name .

How to get API & Secret Key?

To get the API key and Secret key, Seller needs to login to his/her Etsy Store and “Create An App” using Developer Account.

Do refer the attached Screenshot:

Once the Seller creates the app, he/she will click on the created app to get the API and Secret Key details.

Seller can copy the API and Secret key from here and paste it in the “Etsy Configuration” section where it is required.

Once the Seller gets the API and Secret Key, he/she needs to fill all the details in the Etsy Configuration section of the Multivendor Seller Panel.

Once the Etsy Seller configures his/her Etsy Store’s details, Seller can start importing products from Etsy to Multivendor.

Import Products

As soon as the Seller adds all his/her Etsy shop details in Multivendor, an “Import Products” button gets added to the same page.

Clicking on “Import Product” button, Seller will get two methods to import his Etsy store’s product to Shopify.

Method 1: Using single or comma separated Listing ID(s)

Using this method, Seller needs to enter the Listing ID(s) of the products that he/she wants to import and then click on the “Import” button to get those products imported from Etsy to Multivendor app.

Method 2: Import Products using CSV

In this method, Seller can upload a CSV file having list of all the product’s listing IDs to be imported at a time in bulk. Once uploaded, Validate the file and click on Submit button.

In this way, Seller can import products from Etsy to Shopify Multivendor App.

Admin End

Once the products get imported into Multivendor app, they will be in approval pending state at both the ends (admin and seller end). It is up to admin if he/she approves or rejects the products to be sold on admin’s marketplace. If the admin denies the imported product, he/she needs to add a reason for the rejection.

Let’s See how it Works:

Suppose a product is added on Etsy and Seller has imported this product from Etsy to Multivendor App.

This is how the imported product appears on Multivendor App.

Admin can enable, deny or delete any imported products from his end.

Once the admin approves any product, the same will reflect in the Seller panel of the Multivendor App.

Import Orders

When imported products will be ordered on admin’s Shopify store, order details & inventory gets updated on Etsy too. But when an order is placed at Etsy, Seller needs to import the Orders from Etsy to Shopify to manage the product’s quantity at Shopify end.

This will be done from the Seller Panel of the Multivendor App.

Etsy Orders will be imported either by “Order Status” or by “Receipt IDs”

Import by Order Status:

Seller can select any of the 5 order status i.e. Open, Unshipped, Unpaid, Completed or Processing and proceed to import 100 orders.

Import by Receipt IDs:

After importing 100 orders by “Order Status”, rest of the orders will be imported by “Receipt IDs”. Seller will enter the receipt ID(s) and click on “Import” button to import the orders.

Please Note:- 100 Orders will be imported by selecting any of the above mentioned order status and rest of the orders will be imported by receipt IDs.

In this way, Seller can manually update the inventory at Shopify end.

That’s all about the Shopify-Etsy Connector Feature App using which admin can allow his/her sellers to connect their Etsy Store with admin’s Shopify store with ease.
