In Shopify Multivendor marketplace a new feature “seller product sync” which is beneficial for all user where they can create app for seller to sync their product with admin.
A feature app “Create an app for your seller” enable you to add the sellers product from their Shopify store at run time. If your seller too have shopify store and wanted to add product from his respective store on admin shopify store can be done by using this app.
This feature app is available at monthly subscription of $40 (USD), exclusive of the monthly charge of multivendor marketplace.
Following are the features in this app:
- With the help of this app seller can sync their shopify store products with owner/admin shopify store.
- Also inventory of seller shopify store sync with admin shopify store.
- Admin need to create app and seller will install this app in his shopify store.
- If seller use this sync app, admin can charge monthly for using this sync app from seller.
- All the seller product order from admin store will be synced with seller shopify store and the inventory reduced both ends.
How to enable this feature:
- Go to Features App
- Click on Enable
- Approve the charges.
A new will added to the multivendor marketplace app “Seller Supported app configuration” after enabling the feature app.
How admin can create app for the seller:
Admin/store owner have to create app for seller and seller will install that app at respective shopify store.
Following are the two way admin can create app for the seller:
- Admin can contact us and we will create an app for you and provide the required details.
- Admin can create app on his own.
To create app on your own you need to have “partner account” on shopify.
Open shopify store backend and go to “create app”.
You can mention app name as per your requirement and “App URL” must be same as provided in the “seller supported app configuration” menu in the multi vendor marketplace app.
Now open the app and in “App info tab” enter App URL and whitelisted redirection URL as provided in seller supported app configuration in menu in the app.
If you want to charge monthly subscription, mention App price and trial day if you want to charge from seller. Enter API key and API secret key mentioned in app info as shown in above screenshot.
Once admin create app for seller on shopify store, shopify team will approve the app before seller can use it. Till the time shopify team approve the app you can share url to the seller.
And in case if you have asked us to create app then we will provide API key and the secret key.
Note: Please perform all the steps given in the note section of “seller supported app configuration” page.
We have also provided an option to the admin to select products and disable products published by the seller on store.

Admin can provide link to the seller (shopify team approve the app).
OR
Admin can provide “Seller app installation URL” mentioned in the multi vendor app.
Now once seller has the URL then needs to install the app to start the sync of the products to the admin shopify store.
Seller have to approve the monthly charge if admin has set up. Now seller will have the new app “webkul-marketplace” in the apps menu in shopify store.
Now seller can start using the app.
Once the seller add product on his store same get synced to the admin shopify store at the run time.
Once the products are synced then the order for the same will be created at the seller shopify store, if any order is placed from admin store the inventory at both ends will get reduced.
Inventory get synced to the admin store too, if any order placed at seller shopify store.
We also provide an option to the seller where seller can choose product to be synced at admin store.
