Shopify Multivendor Marketplace App is a great tool to convert your shop into a fully functional marketplace. It facilitates the process of adding sellers and keep track of their sales. Now We have introduced the additional feature called “Manage discount on order” in our Multivendor Marketplace App which enables the admin to manage discounts on orders.
If you want to manage discount on orders you simply have to choose the option ” Manage discount on orders” from orders configuration section of your app.
Lets understand its workflow.
Before proceed to managing discount on orders ,you first need to Create discounts from your Shopify store.
Shopify admin>>Discounts>>Create Discount>>Save
Secondly you need to set Commission from “Commission” section of Multivendor Marketplace App.
Multivendor marketplace>> Commissions>> Seller commission settings>>Add commission to seller>>Click on save
Workflow for Managing Discount on Orders
Enable the option “Manage discount on order” from order configuration section of your admin panel of Multivendor Marketplace App.
Go to configuration>> Order Configuration>> Enable the option “Manage discount on order”
Now after enabling Manage discount feature ,you will get 2 options i.e. Discount charges and Commission calculated on.
Discount Charges : From here you can choose who will bear the discount on order i.e Admin or Seller.
Commission calculated on : From here you can choose on which price you want to calculate commission i.e. On Actual Order Price or On Discounted Price.
1. IF SELLER IS BEARING THE DISCOUNT
AND YOU WANT TO CALCULATE COMMISSION ON ACTUAL ORDER PRICE
Now you set “Discount Charges” to Seller and “Commission Calculated on” to On Actual order price then the discount that you have given to buyer and the commission which you are charging from seller will be deducted from the Total seller’s Earning.
So whenever customer place any order,you can see the Total seller earning details from here:-
Configuration>> Orders >> Order Listing >> Click on View button from “Action” section in front of order ID>> Order detail page will open>> Here you can see Seller earning
2. IF SELLER IS BEARING THE DISCOUNT
AND YOU WANT TO CALCULATE COMMISSION ON DISCOUNTED PRICE
Now you set “Discount Charges” to Seller and “Commission Calculated on” to “On Discounted price” then the discount that you have given to buyer and the commission (will be calculated on discounted price) which you are charging from seller will be deducted from the Total seller’s Earning.
So whenever customer place any order,you can see the Total seller earning details from here:-
Configuration>> Orders >> Order Listing >> Click on View button from “Action” section in front of order ID>> Order detail page will open>> Here you can see Seller earning
3. IF ADMIN IS BEARING THE DISCOUNT
AND YOU WANT TO CALCULATE COMMISSION ON ACTUAL ORDER PRICE
Now you set “Discount Charges” to Admin and “Commission Calculated on” to On Actual order price then only the commission which you are charging from seller will be deducted from the Total seller’s Earning because here admin is bearing the discount.
So whenever customer place any order,you can see the Total seller earning details from here:-
Configuration>> Orders >> Order Listing >> Click on View button from “Action” section in front of order ID>> Order detail page will open>> Here you can see Seller earning
4. IF ADMIN IS BEARING THE DISCOUNT
AND YOU WANT TO CALCULATE COMMISSION ON DISCOUNTED PRICE
Now you set “Discount Charges” to “Admin” and “Commission Calculated on” to “On Discounted price” then here only commission (Calculated on discounted price) will be deducted from the Total seller’s Earning.
So whenever customer place any order,you can see the Total seller earning details from here:-
Configuration>> Orders >> Order Listing >> Click on View button from “Action” section in front of order ID>> Order detail page will open>> Here you can see Seller earning
Note:* Please note Discounts will be managed for taxable products only and in case of display sales price commission will be calculated on actual price only.
