Prestashop AliExpress Dropshipping

After you have downloaded the Prestashop Dropshipping module, you have to extract the contents of this downloaded zip file. After extracting the contents of this zip file you will find a file with the name aliexpressImporter.crx.

Now, just drag and drop this extension on the extensions page of your Google Chrome browser.

After dropping it on the extensions page, you will be asked if you want to add the extension. Click the ” Add Extension” button to install this extension.

After clicking the “Add Extension” button, the extension will be added to the Chrome browser. Just refresh the browser to make use of this extension. Now, when you will go to the category page of the AliExpress you can find this blue icon to import the products into your Prestashop Store.

Follows the Standard Prestashop Installation Process :

1. Go to the back office -> Modules -> Add a new module
2. Upload zip file of product auction module
3. Simply search “Aliexpress DropShipping” in the search box then install the module.

Once the Module is installed, you need to configure the module correctly !

These credentials are automatically created and needs to be used when products will be synced for the first time from AliExpress to Prestashop. Needs to be entered only for the first time.  Admin will have an option to Regenerate the User Name and Password which will have to be entered once during the import process.
You can regenerate the token any number of times.

This is a very crucial part as admin needs to set the default settings of the product being imported from Aliexpress. There are various things that needs to be defined when product is being imported from AliExpress.

• Product Creation – Admin decides whether the Product will be Auto-approved or Manually approved.
• Generate Product Combinations –  Admin decides whether combinations of the imported product will be generated at prestashop end.
• Default Product Quantity –  Admin pre-decides the default Quantity of the  Imported Product.
• Associated Categories – Admin selects the The default categories associated with the newly imported product.
• Default Category – Admin pre-decides the default category with the newly imported product.
• Condition – Admin pre-decides the default Condition of the newly imported product  –  Old, New or Refurbished.
• Visibility – Admin pre-decides the default visibility option of the newly imported product – Everywhere, Catalog Only, Search Only OR Nowhere.
• Supplier – Admin can select the default prestashop supplier of the newly imported product.
• Options – Set default Options for the newly imported product – Available for order,  Show price, Online only (not sold in your retail store)
• Price Selection – Admin has 4 varied options of setting prices of the newly imported product. (Will be Explained in the price settings section below)
• Tax rule – Admin can select the default prestashop tax rule for the newly imported product.
• Carriers –  Admin can select the prestashop carriers available for newly imported product.

When Product is imported from AliExpress to Prestashop, it is a major challenge to manage pricing.

Sometimes on AliExpress prices are set at a particular range for example ($400-$900) In this case, it will be difficult to manage prices when imported on prestashop. So, there is a choice for the admin where he can select whether he want products Minimum Price or Maximum Price to be imported on Prestashop.

We also offer admin 4 varied options to select the pricing mechanism of the newly imported product.

• Same as AliExpress  –  Here the product price will be same on prestashop end as it was on AliExpress
• Custom Price –  Here Admin can set an altogether new custom price for the newly imported product.
• Increase –   Here Admin can choose to add an increased impact on Aliexpress price when product is imported on Prestashop. (Impact will be set in percentage form)
• Decrease –  Here Admin can choose to add an decreased impact on Aliexpress price when product is imported on Prestashop. (Impact will be set in percentage form)

Admin also has Product Update Settings section in the module configuration. From here Admin can Update Product information of the Imported Products when they are updated on Aliexpress end.  Admin also has an option to select which parameters will be updated. Options available at Admin end are Product Name, Product Price, Product Images and Product Combinations.

This is how the module can be successfully configured !

Visit AliExpress website . Here, while hovering your mouse you can see the blue icon for the “AliExpress product Importer“. Just click that icon to import the products to your store.

Now, click on the AliExpress product Importer icon. This brings up a pop-up to enter your store URL, enter the URL and click next to proceed.

Again you will find a  pop-up to enter the Username and the Token which can be copied from Module configuration Extension Settings.

Once the correct credentials are entered, Click the “Submit” button  – Your store will be authenticated and you will see a success message “Authenticated Successfully“.

Product will be imported from AliExpress  following the default product settings made in the module configuration.

Note – In case you regenerate User Name and Password from extension settings of module configuration, you will be asked to reenter the details while trying to import products from AliExpress.

During the Import process, if admin can enable the product combination generate option then admin can un-select the combinations that does not need to be imported on prestashop.

Admin can also update the product name and product price during the import process form aliexpress end as well.

Once the Module is installed one new tabs with two subtabs –  Products and Orders gets added to your Prestashop Back-office.

When Products are imported from Aliexpress to Prestashop, they are listed in Dropshipping -> Products tab.
Admin can click on ‘View‘ tab to see the respective product page at Aliexpress end. Admin can delete or change the status of the products from here.

When any imported products are ordered, they are listed in Dropshipping -> Orders tab.

On clicking the “view” tab,  Admin can see the product wise listing of the order.

Here admin will be able to see the Order detail page and can see all details related to product combination, price etc and can create orders accordingly.
