Odoo Website Country Restriction

A country restriction is placed because a limit needs to be set to carry out eCommerce business.

Odoo Website Country Restriction module allows to add countries under configurations, to be displayed on website for user checkout. Usually in Odoo during the checkout process, a list of country shows up for selection, which can lead your customers/users wrongly select another country. Hence using Odoo Website Country Restriction module, you can restrict country selection on your ecommerce.

• Restrict customers from placing any order with a product which is unavailable in a particular country.
• Odoo Website Country Restriction helps to display the customised messages for unavailability of products in a particular country.
• It helps to hide the unavailable products on website for particular country.
• Odoo Website Country Restriction helps to display the desired list of countries for website customers.

Once Odoo Website Country Restriction module is installed, click on Website admin menu Webkul Website addons under Web Page section, you will find the Website Country Restriction configuration.


When you click on configuration menu> a pop-up configuration window will appear where you can define the countries for whom you want to assign checkout feature. This could be either all countries or selected countries. It also helps to define the customised cart message and checkout message to be displayed. The Hide products in Website option helps to enable/disable the view of products on website for particular country.


For selected country checkout option when you click on add an item> a Add:checkout countries pop-up window will appear. Now, select the countries from the list of countries for which you want enable the checkout and then click on Select button.


The selected countries will be added. Define the customised cart message and checkout message to be displayed. Finally, to implement the desired configuration click on Apply button.


When all countries option will be selected for checkout. It helps to define the customised cart message and checkout message which will be displayed on website. Finally, to save the desired configuration click on Apply button.


Using the module, you can also define the availability of the particular product for particular countries on product page.


If the Hide products in Website option is enabled, then the available products are only visible on website for particular country.

A message will be displayed on cart page for unavailable product in particular country.
