Shopify Birthday Reminder App

Shopify Birthday Reminder App enables you as a store owner to wish your customers on their birthday and Store owner configures the app by setting number of days prior to which automatic mail with special offer will get send to buyer .
With this app the store owner enter birthdays and other details of customer on which the offer mails are sent .

Installation

On Landing Page you will find the “install” button. Enter the shop url where you want to install the app.

WORKFLOW

After the installation, you need to buy the monthly plan available for this app. Once the payment is done for the plan,the App will be listed here. :

Clicking on the app you will be landed on to the dashboard or home page of the Birthday reminder app , from here you can set the general configuration of the  app, mail configuration of the app , customer’s birthdays and much more.

CONFIGURING AND OPERATING THE APP

Configuration section of the app is divided into two sections :
General Configuration
&
Mail Configuration
General Configuration

From general configuration section of the app you will have enter the domain name of your shop, and from this section you can enable or disable to send mails to the customer ,can set the number of days prior to which the reminder has to be sent and much more.

Mail Configuration

Configure , edit , change and reset the content of mail sent to the client from this section of the app. Also clicking on the reset button all the settings of this section will get resetted to default .

Once you have edited the content of the email , do click on the save button to save the settings.
To receive a test mail, click on send testing mail button.

Also please note :

  • The text used inside ‘{ }’ with ‘$’ symbol is a variable (example, {$customer_name}).
  • Do not remove these variables as they are representing their corresponding values.
  • Following are their corresponding values.
  • {$customer_name} – Name of customer
  • {$discount} – Discount for the customer
  • {$coupon_code} – Discount coupon code
  • {$valid_till} – Coupon validity
  • {$domain_name} – Your Domain Name

Customer Birthday Section

This section shows the list of all the customers added along with their email id’s birth date and the option to enable or disable to set reminder for that customer.

CSV UPLOAD

Clicking on upload CSV file, you can add the customer details and their birthdays via CSV in bulk. Once you will click on upload CSV file option, you will be popped up with a window to upload CSV.
There will be the option to upload the file. Please make sure that the CSV to be uploaded is in the same format as there in example file other wise it will show errors.
Also we have provided the option where you can choose to continue the upload or to stop in case of error occurs while uploading the CSV.

View Customer Details

Clicking on “View Details” button, you can view the customer’s details like name, email id. date of birth and from this section you can assign the coupon to the customer by clicking on Assign Coupon button.

Once clicked on Assign Coupon Button, a window will open asking about the coupon details given below to enter :

  • Coupon Code
  • End Date of the coupon
  • Discount Type-Fixed or Percentage
  • Price

Front end display

Finally the very important and the last section of this user manual, in order to display the date of birth field  on front end you will have to copy the below given code and paste it to customers/account.liquid,
follow the below process :

  • Go To Themes.
  • Click on Customize Theme button.
  • Click on Edit HTML/CSS button.
  • Select any template of customers/account.liquid file where you want to show the link.
  • Paste the code and save.
