Prestashop Marketplace Preorder – Want to provide a functionality to sellers to set their products as preorder!! With the help of our marketplace preorder module, sellers can set their product or combination of products as preorder product so that their buyers can pre-book any product. Buyer can either make the full payment or partial payment as the payment option provided by admin with the product.
Note:-
- Before installing this module the “Advanced Marketplace” module should be installed.
- For sellers to add their own combinations on their products which should be available to them while setting preorder, admin need to have “Marketplace Product Combination” module.
Features
- Seller can set out of stock product as preorder
- Seller can charge either partial or full payment for preorder products
- Seller can set preorder price
- For partial payments, seller can select whether the partial payment type would be fixed or on percentage basis.
- Seller can even set the availability date on which the product would be available in stock for purchase
- Seller can set countdown for preorder product availability
- Seller can set product availability either automatically or manually
- Automatically availability is also there. Once countdown get over preorder product comes in stock.
- Seller can see the preorder product purchased by customer under “View Order”.
- Admin can set the quantity available in stock to be shown when the preorder product is available for purchase.
- Admin can set the preorder on combination of product.
- Voucher will get automatically available on the cart, while completing the preorder.
- Buyer can buy multiple preorder product in single cart.
- Buyer can purchase preorder and normal product in single cart.
- Admin can set the preorder for all the combination of a product altogether.
- Admin can also update the preorder for all the combination of product altogether.
Installation
For installing Marketplace preorder module you need to install Marketplace module first.
After installing marketplace module you can start the installation of Marketplace Preorder module.
- Go to back office ->module
- Upload the module zip file
- Search “Marketplace Preorder” in module search box then go to module and click on install.
Configuration
After successful installation, admin can configure the module.
This is how admin can configure the module.
Seller’s Front-End View
A new tab will be added to sellers marketplace account named as “Manage preorder”.
To add/create new preorder seller has to click on the “create new preorder” button.
If, seller select the “all combination” in the combination field then the preorder will apply on all the combination of product at once.
Now on visiting edit page of any combination, seller can either update current combination or select “all combination” to update all the combination.
Let’s say seller has updated the preorder settings for current combination of product.
In this way seller can set the product as preorder products.
When an order is placed for seller’s preorder product then seller can view the orders from ” View Orders” button.
Back-end View
Two new tabs are added at back-end to manage the sellers preorder products.
Admin can view the list of all the preorders added by sellers. Admin can edit these preorders. Admin can even add the preorders for sellers.
Admin can create the preorder for seller products.

Workflow
Once the preorder is set following the above mentioned steps, then product will be available to buyer to pre-book.
- If seller has set the preorder, then preorder request will be send to admin. Either admin has to approve the preorder request manually or the request will get automatically approved as per the configuration.
- If admin has created a preorder on seller’s behalf, then the preorder is automatically approved.
Seller’s view for the activated preorder products. Sellers can also change the status, if admin has allowed the sellers to change the status in the module configuration.
Now buyer can purchase the preorder product.
Note:- The timer will be visible only when the automatic availability is enabled while setting preorder. If automatic availability is disabled, then the timer will not be displayed to buyers on the product page.
Once the order is placed for seller’s preorder product, seller can view the order.
Go to manage preorder -> View orders button
Admin can also view the preorder orders separately.
Go to marketplace management -> preorder orders.
